We’re excited to welcome a Level II Dental Assistant to The Village Dentist, our friendly and patient-focused dental practice in Etobicoke/Toronto, located in the heart of the vibrant Bloor West Village community. This is an important role on our team, and we’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys patient care, takes pride in their work, and thrives in a collaborative, supportive environment. Key Responsibilities:
Clinical & Chairside Support
Support the dentist during a variety of procedures, including restorative, surgical, and preventive treatments
Prepare treatment rooms and ensure smooth setup and breakdown throughout the day
Assist with suctioning, instrument transfer, and patient positioning
Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays)
Take impressions, pours, and fabricate temporary restorations (as permitted)
Perform intraoral and extraoral duties within the Level II scope of practice
Patient Care & Communication
Greet patients warmly and help them feel comfortable and at ease at The Village Dentist
Provide clear post-operative and oral hygiene instructions
Address patient questions and concerns with professionalism, empathy, and care
Administrative & Team Support
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and charts
Assist with inventory management and ordering of dental supplies
Work closely with dentists, hygienists, and front desk staff to ensure smooth daily operations
Qualifications
Certified Level II Dental Assistant with current registration in good standing REQUIRED
Graduate of an accredited dental assisting program
CPR certification (required)
Strong knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and terminology
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
