Job Summary
Dr. M. Ahmad Dentistry Professional Corporation is seeking an experienced Certified Level II (NDAEB CERTIFIED) Dental Assistant to join our team providing dental services in a secure government institutional clinic in Hamilton.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated dental assistant who enjoys working in a professional, well-organized environment alongside experienced dentists. Flexible part-time, casual and contract opportunities are available.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must:
* Have a minimum of 3 years of clinical dental assisting experience.
* Have successfully completed all National Dental Assisting Examining Board (NDAEB) examination requirements.
* Hold a valid HARP Certificate.
* Have completed 24 or more Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) online courses, or be willing to complete them before assignment.
* Demonstrate knowledge of RCDSO Standards of Practice and Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) requirements.
* Be professional, reliable and able to work independently.
* Be eligible to obtain and maintain the required institutional security clearance before starting work.
Responsibilities
* Chairside assisting during examinations and treatment.
* Instrument processing and sterilization according to IPAC standards.
* Taking dental radiographs in accordance with HARP requirements.
* Preparing treatment rooms and maintaining supplies.
* Maintaining accurate clinical records.
* Supporting dentists in providing emergency and basic dental care.
* Following all institutional policies and infection prevention protocols.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in:
* Institutional or correctional dental clinics.
* Hospital or community dental clinics.
* Emergency dentistry.
