Job Description

Newport Pediatric Dentistry is looking for a DANB Certified Dental Assistant to join our pediatric dental team! One of our assistants is starting school in September
DANB certification is required for this position. We are specifically looking for a Dental Assistant who holds current certification through the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB).

We are looking for someone with a soft, caring personality, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well with others. This position requires a professional appearance and a positive, friendly attitude.

We are open to both full-time and part-time candidates.

Office Hours:
Monday–Thursday: 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
We are closed Friday–Sunday.

Responsibilities
Take dental X-rays
Perform polishing
Provide flossing and age-appropriate oral hygiene instructions
Place dental sealants
Complete clinical notes and charting for the doctor during examinations
Prepare treatment rooms and instruments
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient clinical environment
Communicate professionally and compassionately with pediatric patients and their parents/guardians
Follow all infection control and safety protocols
Work as part of a collaborative pediatric dental team
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
