Certified Dental Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Dental Assistant to join our dental practice for Saturday from 9 am to 5 pm (no long weekends). The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional patient care and ensuring smooth daily operations in a fast paced environment. Duties
Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments in accordance with infection control protocols
Assist the dentist and setting up all necessary instruments during various procedures, including crown/bridge, RCT, extractions and implants.

Take and develop dental radiographs
Manage and update patient records using OpenDental
Provide patient education on oral health, post-treatment care, and preventive practices
Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile environment throughout the clinic
Requirements
Must be registered with the BC College of Oral Health Professionals (BCCOHP)
1+ year of previous experience in dental assisting, with knowledge of medical terminology and dental procedures
Familiarity with OpenDental is preferred but not mandatory
Knowledge of iTero or willing to learn iTero is a plus
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Must be able to work well within a team and demonstrate professionalism at all times

Pay: $28.00-$36.00 per hour
