Job Overview
Join our dynamic non corporate dental team as a Certified Dental Assistant, where your expertise will help create bright smiles and promote healthy oral habits! In this vital role, you'll support the delivery of exceptional dental care by assisting the dentist during all procedures, managing patient comfort, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Duties
Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments to ensure a safe and efficient environment for patient care
Assist it the transition to chartless record keeping and office relocation.
Assist the dentist during various procedures, including fillings, extractions, orthodontics, and pediatrics treatments
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using technology and maintain accurate records in dental software such as Maxident
Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote long-term dental health
Manage patient check-in and check-out processes as a dental receptionist, ensuring smooth scheduling and communication
assist with inventory management of dental supplies
Support orthodontic procedures by taking impressions, and providing patient instructions
Requirements
Valid certification as a Dental Assistant with current licensure or registration in the respective region, Harp certification also required.
Proven experience with dental assisting duties, including radiography and chairside support
Familiarity with dental practice management software is highly preferred. We use Maxident.
Knowledge of orthodontics procedures and pediatric dentistry to effectively assist in specialized treatments
Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dentistry
Excellent communication skills to serve as an effective liaison between patients and the dental team
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
