About the Role
As a Surgical Assistant, you will be an integral member of our clinical team, supporting our Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons throughout surgical procedures while ensuring every patient receives outstanding care and a positive experience.
This role combines clinical excellence, teamwork, and organization. From preparing surgical suites and maintaining the highest standards of sterilization to assisting during procedures and supporting patients throughout their surgical journey, you will play a vital role in our practice every day.
We're Looking For Someone Who Is:
A Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) in good standing.
Friendly, compassionate, and professional with exceptional communication skills.
Highly organized, dependable, and detail-oriented.
Calm under pressure and able to adapt in a fast-paced surgical environment.
Committed to providing exceptional patient care and service.
A collaborative team player with a positive attitude.
Dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and patient confidentiality.
Comfortable assisting surgeons during oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures.
Experienced with operatory turnover, instrument processing, sterilization, and infection prevention protocols.
Able to effectively prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications
Certified Dental Assistant (required)
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
Experience in oral surgery, oral and maxillofacial surgery, or a surgical setting is considered an asset.
Completion of the AAOMS Dental Anesthesia Assistant National Certification Examination (DAANCE) or Sedation Assistant course is considered an asset, but not required.
