Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for providing exceptional patient care. This role offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment utilizing advanced dental technology and software systems. The Certified Dental Assistant will support the dental team in delivering comprehensive dental services while ensuring patient comfort and satisfaction.
Duties
Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments in accordance with infection control protocols
Assist the dentist during various procedures, including restorations, extractions, and orthodontic treatments
Take and develop dental radiographs using CAD imaging technology
Manage patient records accurately within Epic and Dentrix software systems
Provide patient education on oral health care, post-treatment instructions, and preventive practices
Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient flow as a dental receptionist when needed
Support pediatric patients by creating a welcoming environment and explaining procedures in an age-appropriate manner
Ensure all clinical areas are clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
Requirements
Valid certification as a Dental Assistant from an accredited program
Proficiency in dental assisting procedures and knowledge of medical terminology
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and team members
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Knowledge of infection control standards and sterilization techniques
Prior experience working as a Dental Receptionist or in administrative support is a plus
Commitment to ongoing professional development to stay current with industry best practices
Pay: From $24.00 per hour
