Orthodontic Assistant Opportunity - Join Our Modern Practice!
We are seeking a passionate Certified Dental Assistant to join our modern, digitally-focused orthodontic practice. As part of our tight-knit team, you'll have the opportunity to expand your skills while making meaningful connections with both colleagues and patients.
About Us: We operate out of two locations - one on Peatt Rd in Langford and another on Shelbourne St in Saanich. Our practice prides itself on creating a warm, welcoming environment while delivering exceptional orthodontic care.
Core Responsibilities:
Assist chairside during orthodontic procedures and examinations (ability to perform independently with orthodontic module certification)
Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, ensuring optimal sterilization and setup
Perform digital radiography and assist with diagnostic records
Provide patient education on oral hygiene and orthodontic care
Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation
Contribute to efficient patient flow and schedule management
Assist with inventory management and administrative tasks
Required Qualifications:
Active Certified Dental Assistant license with the BCCOHP
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities
Commitment to ongoing professional development
Preferred Qualifications:
Completion of the Orthodontic Module
2+ years of dental experience
Experience with digital dentistry and modern orthodontic techniques
Schedule & Compensation:
Hours: Tuesday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Competitive pay: $34.00-$40.00 per hour

About Sharp Orthodontics
Sharp Orthodontics has been serving Victoria, BC since 1993, providing children, adolescents, and adults with beautiful smiles through clear braces, metal braces, or clear aligners like Invisalign. Dr. Cecil Sharp founded the practice with a mission to help everyone achieve confidence and oral health, leading to the opening of two locations in Langford and Saanich. In 2021, his son, Dr. John Sharp, joined the practice to continue the legacy of transforming smiles.
