Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Certified Dental Assistant with Orthodontic module expertise to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will support orthodontic procedures, ensuring exceptional patient care and smooth clinic operations. This role requires a professional with strong technical skills, familiarity with dental software, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience with pediatric dentistry and medical terminology is a plus, along with proficiency in dental assisting and CAD systems.
Duties
Assist dentists during orthodontic procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and setting up necessary supplies
Take and develop dental radiographs using CAD technology when required
Manage patient records accurately
Educate patients on orthodontic care, post-treatment instructions, and oral hygiene practices
Schedule appointments, confirm patient visits, and handle administrative tasks as a dental receptionist
Maintain infection control protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA standards
Support the orthodontic team by adjusting appliances and assisting with bracket placement or removal
Communicate effectively with patients of all ages, including pediatrics, to foster a positive experience
Skills
Certified Dental Assistant certification with Orthodontic module completion
Proficiency in dental software such as Epic and Dentrix for record management
Strong understanding of orthodontics procedures and terminology
Experience in dental assisting within pediatric settings preferred
Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry and orthodontics
Familiarity with CAD systems for digital imaging and treatment planning
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members
Ability to multitask efficiently in a busy clinical environment while maintaining attention to detail
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
