Duties
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to promote healthy smiles.
Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring proper technique and adherence to infection prevention protocols.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care.
Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times while managing medical records and documentation review processes.
Support infection control procedures by following aseptic techniques, sterilizing dental equipment, and managing healthcare infection prevention protocols.
Collaborate with dentists and team members to provide seamless patient care. settings.
Qualifications
Valid state licensure as a Certified Dental Hygienist with current certification in dental radiography (X-ray).
Proven experience in dental office settings, including familiarity with systems such as Eaglesoft.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and dental equipment operation.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively about dental care practices.
Knowledge of healthcare regulations such as HIPAA compliance management and infection control procedures.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and delivering high-quality patient care.
