Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Level II HARP Certified Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent patient communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of dental procedures. This role offers an opportunity to work in an environment dedicated to providing exceptional dental care, including orthodontics and pediatric dentistry. The position requires proficiency in dental software system AbelDent. As a key member of our team, you will support both clinical and administrative functions to ensure smooth daily operations.
Possibility of a full time position if desired as a dental assistant at secondary office
Responsibilities
Assist dentists during various dental procedures, including orthodontic treatments and pediatric dentistry cases
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available
Take and develop dental radiographs
Manage patient records accurately within AbelDentsystems
Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort throughout visits
Support front desk operations as a dental receptionist when needed, including scheduling appointments and verifying patient information
Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and WHMIS regulations
Assist with inventory management of dental supplies and equipment maintenance
Document clinical notes thoroughly and accurately in electronic health records
Skills
Certified Level II HARP Dental Assistant with current certification required
Proficiency in AbelDent preferred
Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental practice
Familiarity with CAD technology used in digital impressions or restorations
Excellent communication skills for patient interaction and team collaboration
Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
SHAKnowledge of sterilization techniques, infection control standards, and WHMIS compliance
Previous experience as a dental assistant or in a similar clinical support role is highly desirable
Pay: $21.00-$27.00 per hour
