Job Description
Any Lab Test Now (Rogers, MN) is growing and seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Phlebotomist to join our clinic team. In this role, you will safely collect blood and other specimen samples from patients of all age groups, verify patient identities, and maintain accurate laboratory records while delivering compassionate, professional patient care.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Specimen Collection: Perform venipunctures (primarily) and capillary sticks efficiently and safely on pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. Perform urine collections for laboratory testing or in-house testing.
* Sample Labeling & Handling: Accurately label tubes, follow proper order-of-draw protocols, centrifuge, and prepare/transport specimens to the laboratory.
* Patient Communication: Explain collection procedures to patients, address any questions or anxieties, and provide post-draw care instructions.
* Environment & Safety: Maintain a clean, stocked, and sanitized workstation while following strict OSHA, HIPAA, and infection-control guidelines.
* Administrative Support: Greet patients and enter their demographics and test requisitions into the clinic computer and electronic health record (EHR) system. Collect patient payment at the time of service. Communicate patient results as requested on their consent form.
QUALIFICATION & REQUIRMENTS
* Certification: Certified Phlebotomist from an approved agency.
* Experience: 1-year of clinical phlebotomy experience in a hospital, clinic, or high-volume draw station preferred.
* Skills
* Proficiency in venipuncture and capillary collection techniques.
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Basic computer and data-entry skills for laboratory information systems (LIS).
* Compassionate bedside manner and strong verbal communication skills.
* Ability to explain laboratory tests and collection services to business or individual customers.
* Physical ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
* Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
DESIRED
* Experience with Access Medical Lab, Quest or Labcorp.
* Experience performing DOT urine collections.
* Customer service experience in a medical setting.
HOURS
* Approximately 25-hours per week.
* Location hours are as follows: Monday-Friday 8:00A- 6:00P and Saturday 8:00A- 1:00P
* Phlebotomist to work 1-2 rotational Saturday per month. No overnight, Sunday or holiday shifts are required.
