Responsibilities
Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients of all ages.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
Take and develop medical imaging as required, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Maintain accurate medical records and document patient care in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Assess patients' overall health as part of the treatment process.
Utilize Open Dental software for patient management and record keeping.
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and maintain knowledge of anatomy relevant to patient care.
Qualifications
Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state regulations.
Experience working in a dental office setting is preferred.
Proficiency in medical imaging techniques and familiarity with Open Dental software is a plus.
Strong understanding of HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient confidentiality.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient education and comfort.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
Knowledge of vital signs monitoring and basic anatomy related to dental health.
Bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required.
