Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Chairside Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support dentists during procedures, ensure patient comfort, and maintain a smooth workflow within the clinic. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about dental health and patient care to grow their skills in a professional environment. Prior experience with dental software such as Epic and Dentrix, as well as familiarity with orthodontics and pediatrics, will be highly valued.
Duties
Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including restorations, extractions, and orthodontic treatments
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and setting up necessary supplies using CAD technology
Manage patient records efficiently using dental software such as Epic and Dentrix
Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort throughout visits
Take and develop dental radiographs as needed
Maintain infection control standards and ensure all equipment is properly sanitized
Support front desk activities if needed, including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow
Assist in lab tasks related to orthodontics or other specialized treatments
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with knowledge of dental assisting procedures
Familiarity with dental software such as Epic and Dentrix
Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and medical terminology is preferred
Experience with CAD systems for digital impressions or lab work is a plus
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Certification or training in dental assisting is required or preferred
Prior experience working as a dental receptionist or in a clinical support role is advantageous
