Job Description

University of Iowa Health Care North Liberty Department of Radiology is seeking a Clerk III Receptionist to perform and coordinate clerical work such as examining and evaluating data according to established guidelines requiring knowledge of both assigned and related work areas.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide Radiology Reception duties.

Provide excellent customer service to patients, their families and all the University of Iowa Health Care Clinics.

Complete the EPIC Radiant check-in process

Effectively communicate with patients, staff and clinics.

Facilitate patient flow through the Radiology Imaging Center and communicate information to the technologists

Assist and direct patients with health forms

Perform general clerical duties

Must have the ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks in a very busy ambulatory clinical setting

Percent of Time: 100%

Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday 7:30-4:00pm

Availability to work hours between 6:30am-7:00pm and Saturdays 7:00am-3:30pm when needed to cover shifts. Work hours may be adjusted depending on departmental needs.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

Any combination of related clerical office experience/related undergraduate education, and/or post High School clerical training that is the equivalent to two years of full-time employment.

Special Qualifications:

Medical Terminology.

Public Contact/Customer Service.

Desired Qualifications:

Six months clinical administrative work preferred.

Demonstrate attention to detail.

Excellent organizational skills desirable.

Excellent communication skills and basic computer skills.

EPIC experience preferred.
