Job Description

Nat's Remedy's RX is looking for a full-time Clinic Administration (Medical Office Assistant) to join our team in Medicine Hat, Alberta.

Responsibilities:

Report to the Medical Clinic Manager, providing administrative support and coordinating daily operations for doctors, staff, visitors, and patients

Manage scheduling, organize patient files, and address patient inquiries to ensure smooth clinic operations

Welcome patients and visitors, answer inquiries, and schedule appointments while maintaining patient records and accounts using the Input Health EMR system

Ensure appointments stay on schedule by notifying patients and physicians of arrivals and delays, optimizing provider time and treatment room utilization

Comfort patients by addressing questions and managing anxieties, and maintain the reception area

Manage financial tasks, including recording charges, updating accounts, and processing third-party claims

Maintain confidentiality of all doctor, staff, and patient information, and complete accurate documentation under clinical supervision

Oversee office inventory, order supplies, and arrange for equipment servicing or repairs

Maintain room cleanliness, assist with patient exams, and perform general cleaning as needed

Support the Medical Clinic Manager, Clinic Nurse, and Physician with various administrative tasks

Qualifications:

Preference for candidates with Medical Office experience or training, including Medical Office Administration education

Proficiency with Accuro EMR and experience as a receptionist in a medical setting are strong assets

Familiar with office procedures, telephone communications, electronic record-keeping, and medical terminology

Strong organizational skills with the ability to establish priorities, work independently, and collaborate as part of a team

Demonstrates accuracy, confidentiality, tact, discretion, and integrity in all tasks

Innovative thinker with problem-solving skills, able to work under pressure and respond effectively to emergencies

Passionate about healthcare excellence and committed to maintaining high standards

Successful candidates must complete a Criminal Record Check due to the sensitive nature of the position

Schedule:

The regular shifts will be Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Please note that this full-time position is expected to transition from a Monday to Thursday schedule to Monday to Friday, with hours of 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., at the end of the summer.
