Front Desk Receptionist (Mandarin Chinese Required)
Gold Medal Health Center – Surrey, BC
Job Type: Part-time / Full-time (depending on availability)
About Us
Gold Medal Health Center is a multidisciplinary healthcare clinic with locations in Richmond and Surrey. We provide a wide range of rehabilitation and healthcare services, including Chiropractic, Physiotherapy, Registered Massage Therapy, Acupuncture, Kinesiology, Occupational Therapy, Clinical Counselling, and ICBC/WCB rehabilitation.
We are committed to providing exceptional patient care while embracing technology to improve efficiency and service. We are currently looking for a friendly, organized, and motivated Front Desk Receptionist to join our Surrey team.
Responsibilities
Welcome patients and provide exceptional customer service
Answer incoming phone calls, emails, and online inquiries professionally
Schedule and manage appointments using our clinic software
Process patient registrations, payments, and insurance information
Coordinate direct billing with ICBC and extended health insurance providers
Maintain accurate patient records and clinic documentation
Provide administrative support to healthcare practitioners
Keep the reception area clean, organized, and welcoming
Perform general office and administrative duties
Utilize AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, or similar) to improve workflow efficiency, create documents, summarize information, and support daily administrative tasks
QualificationsRequired
Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English (spoken and written)
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Comfortable learning new software and technology
Comfortable using AI tools to improve productivity and administrative workflow
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Professional, reliable, and punctual
Available to work weekends and statutory holidays as required
Legally authorized to work in Canada
Preferred (Not Required)
Previous experience in a medical clinic, dental office, rehabilitation clinic, or customer service role is an asset
Experience with JaneApp
Experience with direct billing or insurance claims is an asset
Training & Probation
Comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided.
Successful candidates will complete a three-month probationary period.
Interviews will be conducted at our Richmond clinic.
If hired, your first week of training will also take place at our Richmond location before transitioning to your regular position at our Surrey clinic.
