Job Description

JOB TITLE: Clinic Receptionist II

SUMMARY:

This position is primarily responsible for maintaining front desk operations, serving as the first point of contact in reception for youth, families and adults accessing treatment and other supportive services, operating a multi-line telephone system directing callers to appropriate personnel and treatment/recovery departments, assuring proper direction and registering of participants as well as accepting payments for services rendered.

Position reports to Program Manager

SCHEDULE:

Mon, Wed, Fri 8AM - 4PM; Tues/Thurs 10AM - 6PM (Subject to change based on program need).

LOCATION:

Corona, NY

POSITION TYPE:

Full Time

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Serve as the first point of contact for participants and visitors by greeting guests, answering calls, providing information, and directing inquiries appropriately.

Support clinic operations by triaging calls, checking participants in through the electronic health record system, and monitoring waiting areas to ensure a safe and efficient flow of appointments.

Manage financial and participant support functions, including collecting payments, issuing receipts, and administering MetroCard reimbursement accounts.

Provide administrative and clerical support, including correspondence, document preparation, filing, supply ordering, photocopying, faxing, and other office-related duties.

Maintain confidentiality and provide culturally competent services in compliance with all federal, state, local, and agency policies while ensuring participant privacy and respect.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Associates Degree in Secretarial Science or

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with 3 years related work experience.

OTHER SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interpret policies, procedures, and instructional materials; bilingual Spanish/English preferred.

Proficient in basic mathematics, including calculations involving whole numbers, fractions, decimals, percentages, ratios, and data interpretation.

Demonstrates sound judgment and problem-solving skills, with the ability to follow detailed instructions and address routine situations effectively.
