CNA/Receptionist
New England Wound Care is a fast growing specialized wound care facility. Our specialized team has over 30 years of experience providing comprehensive wound care throughout New England with locations in Greenfield, Amherst, Easthampton, Florence, and Westfield.

We’re looking for a CNA/Receptionist to join our team. This position is 32 hours a week (full time, benefits eligible) and requires travel to multiple locations.
Responsibilities:
· Assist and support the first line of Reception daily operations with a thorough working knowledge of all department functions and minimal supervision.
· Assist nurses in exam room with Hoyer or patient placement.
· Responsible for maintaining knowledge of computer scheduling functions, using proper registration protocols with all new patients, editing existing patient data, and utilizing proper visit types.
· Responsible for answering telephones efficiently and timely and using appropriate follow through in screening and transferring all calls. Accurately documents and distributes messages accordingly.
· Maintain knowledge of all providers’ scheduling attributes, and proper transfer of calls.
· Resolve patient concerns in a positive and timely manner, focusing on patient service excellence.
· Responsible for alerting Practice Manager of any scheduling errors/issues.
· Responsible for greeting patients and visitors in a prompt, pleasant and professional manner.
· Verifies and updates patient’s demographic information including insurance information.
· Responsible to check patients in eCW.
· Assist new patients in completing necessary paperwork.
· Responsible for scheduling/rescheduling appointments.
· Responsible for opening batch, collecting insurance co-pay amounts, entering into system and closing out batch at end of day and balancing.
· Responsible to make reminder calls to patients or place calls to no show patients.
· Performs other clerical work as necessary, faxing, copying, scanning, etc.
· Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality.
· Any other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
· Acceptable and reliable attendance.
Qualifications:
· Six months to one year related experience in a medical office or similar clinical setting.
· Completion of Certified Nursing Aide Program and current CPR certification required.
· Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.
