Job Description
Join Our Family-First, Autism-Focused Team
The Natural Life Spectrum, ADHD, and Sensory Centre is a new kind of autism service provider in Niagara. Building from our deep roots and 12+ years of trusted healthcare experience in the Niagara community, alongside 9+ years of parenting neurodiversity through a developmental, attachment-based, trauma-informed lens, we are forging a new path to serve a vital need and gap in autism services.
We are seeking a Communicative Disorders Assistant who shares our vision and passion for supporting autistic children and their families. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a groundbreaking model of care that prioritizes neurodiversity affirmation and real-world impact.
What You'll Bring
MANDATORY Completion of a Communicative Disorders Assistant (CDA) program from a recognized college or university.
Demonstrated experience and genuine passion for working with autistic children and their families, coupled with a strong understanding of neurodiversity-affirming and developmental approaches to communication.
Proficiency in assisting with assessments, implementing individualized treatment plans under supervision, and delivering evidence-based, child-centered interventions.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaborative skills to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team and with families.
A proactive mindset, eager to contribute ideas and solutions to enhance our services.
Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic, interdisciplinary team, following established protocols.
We are an adaptive and agile organization, constantly evolving our programming based on the needs of our community. We believe in creating a collaborative culture that meets children where they are, respecting the unique wiring of autistic brains and fostering transferable skill acquisition through individualized support.
We're looking for professionals who not only meet formal requirements but also possess a drive to innovate and improve existing models of care. This is a place where collaboration, shared purpose, and a commitment to making a lasting impact are paramount.
You'll thrive in a connection-first, growth-minded environment within a welcoming, home-like clinic. Most importantly, you will directly improve the lives of autistic kids and their families.
Compensation
We offer a highly competitive wage that reflects your expertise, ranging from $31.80 - $35+ per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications. We also provide opportunities for professional growth and a supportive work environment.
What We Offer
Work side-by-side with our founders and autistic leadership.
Work directly with autistic children and their families, under the guidance of an SLP.
Thrive in a connection-first, growth-minded environment.
Contribute to projects that drive change and have a lasting, meaningful impact.
Work in a welcoming, home-like environment designed for comfort and effective therapy.
