Responsibilities
Four-handed chairside assisting
Complete operatory setup and breakdown
Digital X-rays
Intraoral scanning
Clinical photography
Cosmetic and restorative procedures
Temporary/provisional fabrication and adjustment
Invisalign and digital workflows
Sterilization and infection control
Clinical documentation & Treatment planning
Maintaining supplies and organized operatories
Anticipating the doctor's instruments and materials
Patient comfort and communication throughout treatment
Postoperative instructions and follow-up
Helping the clinical day run efficiently and seamlessly
Experience in cosmetic dentistry, restorative dentistry, Invisalign, intraoral scanning, photography or digital dentistry is a plus.

Dental assisting experience is preferred, but character, initiative, integrity, intelligence and willingness to learn matter greatly to us.

Schedule
Hours: 3 days per week, 7am-3pm
Compensation: $20–$30/hour. Compensation is based on experience, clinical skills, independence and overall ability to contribute to the practice.

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Cosmetic & Digital Dental Assistant to join our vibrant dental team. In this role, you will be instrumental in providing exceptional patient care by supporting both cosmetic and digital dentistry procedures. Your expertise will enhance patient experiences through proficient chairside assistance, advanced digital workflows, and comprehensive clinical support. Duties
Assist dentists during cosmetic and digital dental procedures, including veneers, whitening, bonding, and restorations with precision and confidence
Operate and manage advanced digital equipment such as 3D scanners, intraoral cameras, and patient management software to ensure seamless workflow
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is functioning optimally in accordance with infection prevention management protocols
Take high-quality dental x-rays and intraoral images while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies
Manage patient records accurately using EMR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring all medical documentation is complete and up-to-date
Monitor vital signs and assist with medical imaging procedures as needed for comprehensive patient assessments
Support pediatric dentistry and oral surgery cases by providing specialized assistance tailored to young patients’ needs
Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment following infection control standards and aseptic techniques
Educate patients on post-treatment care, dental terminology, and the importance of oral health maintenance
Qualifications
Proven experience as a dental assistant with knowledge of general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry preferred
Proficiency in dental assisting tools, equipment operation, and sterilization procedures including dental x-ray technology
Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; experience with patient management software is highly desirable
Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and healthcare infection prevention protocols
Ability to perform chairside assisting using four-handed dentistry techniques efficiently
Knowledge of dental instrument processing, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques to ensure clinical safety
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages while demonstrating professionalism and empathy
Certification in X-ray technology required; additional certifications in oral surgery or pediatric dentistry are a plus
Commitment to maintaining clinical confidentiality policies in compliance with HIPAA regulations
