Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join our vibrant dental team. This role combines essential clinical support with front desk administrative duties, creating a seamless patient experience from appointment scheduling to treatment. Duties
Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and schedule appointments using dental office management software such as Eaglesoft
Assist dental providers during procedures by preparing instruments, taking x-rays, and ensuring patient comfort
Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently while maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
Verify insurance coverage, process claims, and handle billing
Review and update medical records accurately
Answer multi-line phone systems professionally with excellent phone etiquette; handle appointment rescheduling and patient inquiries
Maintain organized dental records
Support administrative tasks such as, insurance verification, and data entry with proficiency in Microsoft Office and typing skills
Skills
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, and insurance billing processes
Experience with EMR systems like Eaglesoft or similar dental office management software
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations; bilingual abilities are a plus
Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, data entry accuracy, and office management software
Previous clinic or dental office experience preferred; familiarity with medical billing, care plans, and documentation review is highly desirable
Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail in all administrative and clinical tasks
