Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented DA/Front Receptionist to join our vibrant dental team! This essential role combines front desk responsibilities with dental assisting duties, ensuring a seamless patient experience from check-in to treatment. Duties
Greet patients warmly, verify appointments, and manage patient check-in and check-out processes using advanced patient management software.

Schedule appointments efficiently, coordinate with clinical staff, and confirm upcoming visits to optimize daily workflow.

Collect and update patient medical histories, vital signs, and insurance information in electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft.

Assist with dental procedures by preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing dental instruments according to infection prevention management protocols, and passing instruments during chairside assisting.

Take high-quality dental x-rays and 3D scans while adhering strictly to HIPAA regulations and infection control policies.

Educate patients on oral health care, post-treatment instructions, and preventive measures related to pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and other specialties.

Maintain clinical confidentiality policies, ensure proper dental equipment operation, and support infection prevention through aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures.

Manage medical documentation accurately, including dental x-ray images, medical records, and treatment notes in compliance with healthcare standards.

Support the clinical team with dental instrument processing and four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.

Qualifications
Proven experience as a dental receptionist or in a healthcare front desk role within a busy dental clinic environment.

Strong knowledge of EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft; familiarity with patient management software is highly desirable.

Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, dental equipment operation, and clinical confidentiality policies.

Experience with pediatric dentistry, oral surgery procedures, endodontics, prosthodontics, or general dentistry is preferred.

Ability to take dental x-rays accurately using digital imaging technology while following infection control standards.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively about their oral health care needs.

Strong organizational skills for managing appointments, medical records, and clinical supplies efficiently.

Knowledge of healthcare infection prevention and control practices including aseptic technique and dental sterilization procedures.
