Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant / Registered Dental Assistant (DA / RDA) to join our general dentistry practice. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in dental assisting, with expertise in providing comprehensive support in a fast-paced clinical environment. As a key member of our team, you will assist dentists during procedures, ensure patient comfort, and uphold the highest standards of infection control and patient care. Your proficiency with dental technology and medical documentation will contribute to delivering exceptional dental services while fostering a welcoming atmosphere for our patients.

Responsibilities
Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and supplies, ensuring an aseptic environment in accordance with infection control protocols.

Assist dentists during various procedures including restorative, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments.

Take dental radiographs (X-ray) using digital imaging systems and maintain accurate medical records within EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft.

Monitor vital signs and medical history of patients to ensure safety during dental procedures, especially in pediatric or medically compromised cases.

Provide chairside assistance with four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize workflow efficiency and patient comfort.

Educate patients on post-treatment care, dental terminology, and preventive practices while addressing questions professionally.

Manage administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments with the dental receptionist and updating patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Support the team by maintaining inventory control of dental supplies, including 3D scanners and other advanced imaging tools used in prosthodontics or endodontics procedures.

Experience
Prior experience working in a general dentistry setting is required, with familiarity in pediatric dentistry preferred.

Proficiency with EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft is essential for managing medical documentation and records efficiently.

Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality is mandatory.

Hands-on experience with X-ray techniques, medical imaging, and vital signs monitoring is highly desirable.

Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques is necessary for safe clinical practice.

Experience supporting procedures across multiple specialties including prosthodontics and endodontics will be considered an asset.

Pay: $21.00 - $31.89 per hour
