Job Description
Dakota Dental 4 Kids is seeking a friendly, organized, and professional Front Desk Patient Coordinator to join our dental team. This role is responsible for creating a welcoming patient experience while managing front office operations, scheduling, communication, and administrative support. The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Greet and check in patients in a warm and professional manner
Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries
Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments
Verify insurance eligibility and assist with benefit coordination
Collect patient information, consent forms, and payments
Maintain accurate patient records and update account information
Present treatment plans and discuss financial arrangements as needed
Coordinate patient flow and communicate effectively with clinical staff
Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails and text reminders
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area
Support office operations and administrative tasks as assigned
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
Previous dental or medical front office experience preferred
Knowledge of dental insurance and scheduling software preferred
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment
Basic computer and data entry skills
Professional appearance and positive attitude
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with dental practice management software
Bilingual skills are a plus
Experience handling insurance verification and patient collections preferred
