Job Description
We are looking for two full-time Dental Administrators to join our busy, well-established dental offices in Hinton, Alberta, located in the beautiful foothills of the Rocky Mountains.
We’re looking for more than someone to answer phones and book appointments. We want someone who is dependable, organized, compassionate, professional and eager to learn — someone who takes initiative, enjoys staying busy and genuinely cares about helping people.
Dental experience is a strong asset, but attitude, work ethic and communication skills are just as important to us. If you have strong administrative experience, learn quickly and enjoy working with people, we would be happy to hear from you.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Dental Administrator, you’ll play an important role in keeping the office running smoothly and creating a positive experience for our patients. Responsibilities include:
Answering and managing incoming calls
Greeting and assisting patients
Scheduling and confirming appointments
Managing the daily appointment schedule
Processing dental insurance claims and pre-determinations
Reviewing insurance coverage and benefits
Communicating with insurance companies regarding claims and payments
Explaining treatment fees and patient portions
Collecting and processing patient payments
Following up on outstanding treatment and hygiene appointments
Maintaining accurate patient records
Completing daily and month-end administrative procedures
Working closely with our dentists, hygienists and the rest of the dental team
Who We’re Looking For
You’re dependable, organized and comfortable working in a busy environment. You communicate well, take initiative, learn quickly and genuinely enjoy helping people. You’re a team player who treats patients and coworkers with kindness and respect and takes pride in doing your job well.
Most importantly, you understand that dentistry is about people.
Patients may be nervous, frustrated, confused about their insurance or simply having a difficult day. We want someone who listens, communicates with kindness and helps people feel comfortable and cared for.
Experience
Previous experience in dental administration, dental software, insurance claims or dental terminology is preferred.
However, we are willing to train the right person. Candidates with experience in business administration, medical administration, customer service or another fast-paced administrative environment are encouraged to apply.
Why Work With Us?
We have built a positive, supportive and well-organized team that takes pride in providing excellent patient care.
Our offices are busy and run efficiently, and we value people who contribute to a cooperative environment. We believe in teamwork, clear communication, professionalism, continuous learning and helping one another succeed.
And then there’s Hinton.
Located in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, Hinton is a great place for anyone who loves the outdoors. Hiking, camping, mountain biking, skiing, snowboarding, fishing, kayaking and exploring the mountains are all right outside your door.
Interested?
We would love to hear from you.
