Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Dental Administrator to join our vibrant dental practice. In this vital role, you will serve as the backbone of daily operations, ensuring seamless communication between patients, staff, and providers. Your energetic approach will help create a welcoming environment while managing administrative tasks with precision. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and passionate about delivering exceptional patient experiences from the front desk to the back office.
Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly and efficiently manage check-in and check-out procedures at the front desk
Schedule appointments accurately using dental practice management software such as Dentrix and Epic
Verify patient insurance coverage and process billing using electronic medical records systems
Maintain organized patient records, ensuring compliance with confidentiality standards and medical terminology accuracy
Answer multi-line phone systems promptly, directing calls appropriately and taking detailed messages when necessary
Assist with patient communication, appointment reminders, and follow-up care instructions
Support clinical staff by managing supply inventory, preparing treatment rooms, and handling administrative paperwork
Skills
Proven experience as a dental receptionist or in a dental office environment with strong administrative skills
Familiarity with dental practice management software such as Dentrix and Epic is highly preferred
Knowledge of medical terminology and electronic medical records systems to ensure accurate documentation
Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with patients, staff, and insurance providers
Ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently in a fast-paced setting
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in scheduling, record keeping, and billing processes
Previous experience in medical or dental office settings enhances your ability to succeed in this role

Capitol Dentistry is a brand new dentist office located at Yonge-Eglinton in North Toronto. Their team has been serving the community for years with a wide variety of dental services, including dental implants, cleanings, and sedation services. The office is open 6 days a week, including alternating Saturdays, catering to busy schedules.
