Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing appointment scheduling, patient check-in and check-out, and administrative tasks. This role requires excellent communication skills, proficiency in dental office software, and a friendly demeanor to ensure a positive patient experience. Prior dental experience is preferred to effectively handle the responsibilities of this position.
Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly and efficiently manage patient check-in and check-out processes
Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments using dental practice management software (We use Power Practice)
Answer multi-line phone systems promptly and professionally, directing calls as needed
Manage patient records accurately within electronic medical records systems
Verify insurance information and assist with billing inquiries
Collect payments and explain treatment plans to patients
Maintain a clean and organized front desk area
Assist with administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and correspondence
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times
Skills
Proven experience as a Dental Receptionist is a MUST
Proficiency with dental practice management software (We use Power Practice)
Strong knowledge of dental terminology and electronic medical records management
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently under pressure
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
