Job Summary

Duties
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental materials, and ensuring all necessary supplies are ready for procedures.

Assist dentists during a variety of treatments including general dentistry and endodontics, providing chairside support with precision and care.

Take high-quality X-ray images using digital imaging equipment, ensuring proper technique and patient safety in accordance with infection control protocols.

Manage medical documentation by accurately recording vital signs, medical history updates, and treatment notes in Dentrix.

Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA regulations by maintaining patient confidentiality and handling medical records securely.

Support infection control practices through aseptic techniques and proper sterilization procedures to uphold the highest standards of safety.

Assist with administrative tasks including greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and managing medical coding for billing purposes.

Operate advanced dental technology such as 3D scanners and other medical imaging devices to aid diagnosis and treatment planning.

Skills
Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, taking vital signs, and understanding dental terminology.

Experience working with Dentrix for managing patient records efficiently.

Knowledge of infection control standards, aseptic techniques, anatomy knowledge related to the oral cavity, and dental clinic protocols.

Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while maintaining patient comfort and safety standards.

Strong organizational skills to handle multiple responsibilities such as scheduling, documentation, and inventory management.

Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members including dental receptionists and specialists like prosthodontists or endodontists.
