We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental team in delivering high-quality services. Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed, adhering to safety protocols.
Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care, fostering a positive patient experience.
Maintain accurate patient records using dental software systems such as Dentrix, CAD, or Epic.
Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and handle billing inquiries as needed.
Sterilize instruments and maintain cleanliness of the treatment area in compliance with health regulations.
Support orthodontic and pediatric procedures when required, demonstrating versatility in assisting various specialties.
Skills
Proficiency in dental assisting techniques and familiarity with medical terminology.
Experience with dental receptionist duties is a plus, enhancing the overall efficiency of practice operations.
Knowledge of CAD software for designing dental appliances is advantageous.
Familiarity with Epic or similar electronic health record systems to ensure seamless patient management.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members alike.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and organization.
A proactive approach to learning new techniques and staying updated on industry best practices in dentistry.
