Overview
Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and become an essential part of delivering exceptional oral healthcare! In this role, you will support dentists by preparing treatment areas, assisting during procedures, and ensuring patient comfort and safety. Responsibilities
Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring a sterile environment following infection control protocols.
Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, providing chairside support with precision and care.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring proper positioning and safety measures in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix, maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical documentation.
Perform vital signs assessments and monitor patient comfort throughout treatments to ensure a positive experience.
Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, answering patient inquiries, and coordinating with the dental receptionist to streamline clinic operations.
Maintain strict adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control standards to uphold the highest level of safety for patients and staff.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic environment, with knowledge of dental terminology and procedures.
Familiarity with EMR systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic for managing medical records and documentation efficiently.
Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while adhering to HIPAA privacy standards.
Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic techniques, anatomy knowledge, and medical imaging protocols.
Experience with chairside assisting in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and medical coding is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and collaborate seamlessly with the dental team.
Certification in CPR or BLS is preferred; ongoing training in dental assisting techniques is encouraged to stay current with industry standards.
