Job Summary
Join our dynamic dental team at our beautiful new office as a Dental Assistant and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral healthcare! In this energetic role, you will support our dentists during a variety of procedures, ensure patient comfort, and maintain a smooth workflow within our state-of-the-art dental clinic. Your expertise in dental assisting, infection control, and patient care will help us create healthy smiles and positive experiences for every patient. Duties
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly with aseptic technique.
Assist dentists chairside during procedures such as, extractions, endodontics, periodontics, and dental implant treatments.
Take dental radiographs (X-rays), including digital imaging and 3D scans.
Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Open Dental; document medical history, treatment notes, and procedural details accurately.
Monitor vital signs and medical documentation for patients with special needs or pediatric cases to ensure safety throughout treatment.
Provide excellent customer service as a dental receptionist—answering questions, scheduling appointments, and guiding patients through their visit.
Maintain infection control standards by following CDC guidelines for sterilization and aseptic techniques in the dental clinic environment.
Support the dental team with administrative tasks.
Experience
Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred; familiarity with dentistry procedures is essential.
Knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy to assist with accurate documentation and communication.
Hands-on experience with dental assisting tools such as X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and intraoral cameras.
Proficiency in using dental practice management software
Understanding of infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and OSHA standards to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently in four-handed dentistry setups to optimize patient comfort and treatment flow.
