Dental Assistant

We are currently seeking to add a new Dental Assistant to our team. As a dental assistant at our office, you will be able to achieve your career goals while sharing your passionate, patient-focused approach with a leading dental care practice. You are expected to arrive each morning to actively participate in the morning huddle. Prepare patients for procedures, sterilize and disinfect instruments, set up rooms for each procedure. This position will be primarily a hygiene assistant; there will be some cross over with assisting the dentist. Understand dental terminology and properly give thorough explanations of dental procedures to patients. Take and record medical and dental histories and vital signs of patients. Provide pre and post-operative instructions for each procedure. Assist hygienist in seating patients, taking xrays, polishing and other tasks. Assist dentist in management of medical and dental emergencies. Take alginate impressions and being able to pour them into stone and also make temporary crowns, place and adjust composite fillings, placement of matrix bands and rubber dams, taking x-rays, and using the scanner for crowns, dentures, etc. Dentrix software experience is beneficial.
