DENTAL ASSISTANT — PART TIME Boutique Dental Practice · Irvine, California
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENT
Fluency in Mandarin or Cantonese and English is required. You'll serve as a trusted bridge for our Chinese-speaking patients — explaining procedures, easing nerves, and ensuring they feel at home from the first appointment onward.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Prepare operatories and assist the dentist chairside during routine and specialty procedures
Greet and communicate with Chinese-speaking patients in their preferred language, including treatment explanations and post-op instructions
Capture intraoral photos and take digital X-rays; maintain accurate photographic and radiographic records
Track and submit lab cases, including coordinating with dental labs on timelines, prescriptions, and case returns
Sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment per OSHA and CDC guidelines
Maintain accurate patient charting in practice management software
Adapt quickly to new clinical technology as we regularly integrate the latest tools into our workflow
Support a calm, boutique-style environment — attention to detail and patient experience matter here
FRONT DESK SUPPORT (as needed)
Respond to patient messages, inquiries, and appointment requests via phone, text, or patient portal
Assist with check-in and check-out when front desk support is needed
Relay bilingual communications between front desk staff and Chinese-speaking patients
Help navigate patient-facing technology including digital intake forms and online scheduling tools

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Valid RDA license (California) or 6+ months of DA experience with willingness to pursue licensure
Fluency in Mandarin; conversational English
Technologically proficient — comfortable picking up new software, apps, and digital tools with minimal hand-holding
Radiography certification (X-ray license preferred)
Current CPR/BLS certification
Reliable, detail-oriented, and genuinely kind with patients of all ages

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
