Dental Assistant – Pittsfield Office, 114 Wendell Ave
Berkshire Prosthetic & Restorative Dentistry is looking for a skilled, professional, and hardworking Dental Assistant to join our team!

Position Details:
32 hours per week
Primarily based in our Pittsfield office
Occasional coverage in our Williamstown office
Massachusetts Dental Assistant License required
CDA preferred

Responsibilities
Prepare treatment rooms with dental instruments, supplies, and sterilized equipment in accordance with dental sterilization procedures and infection prevention management policies
Assist dentists chairside during various procedures including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry
Take high-quality dental x-rays and operate medical imaging equipment following proper aseptic techniques and radiation safety protocols
Manage patient records using patient management software, Curve while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for clinical confidentiality policies
Provide patient care by taking vital signs, explaining procedures clearly using dental terminology, and addressing patient questions to enhance comfort and understanding
Process dental instruments efficiently to maintain workflow and uphold infection control standards
Experience
Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is preferred; familiarity with dental x-ray techniques, health records management, and clinical support procedures is highly valued
Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and general dentistry practices is essential for effective assistance
Experience with pediatric dentistry or oral surgery procedures is a plus but not required; training will be provided for specialized tasks
Demonstrated ability to follow infection control protocols meticulously and maintain clinical confidentiality at all times
Excellent communication skills combined with a proactive attitude will help foster positive patient interactions and teamwork
