Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team! Responsibilities
Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
Prepare treatment rooms with the necessary instruments, materials, and supplies, maintaining strict aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced equipment such as 3D scanners and medical imaging tools, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Manage patient records accurately within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic while adhering to HIPAA regulations for confidentiality.
Provide chairside assistance by handling dental terminology, medical documentation, and medical coding efficiently during procedures.
Educate patients on oral health practices and post-treatment care to promote long-term dental wellness.
Support administrative duties including scheduling appointments as a dental receptionist, verifying insurance information, and managing medical records.
Monitor vital signs when necessary and assist with pediatrics-specific care to ensure a positive experience for young patients.
Experience
Prior experience working in a dental clinic or healthcare environment is highly preferred.
Proficiency with EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft is essential for managing patient data effectively.
Knowledge of infection control standards, aseptic techniques, and anatomy is required to maintain a safe clinical environment.
Familiarity with dental assisting procedures including four-handed dentistry, chairside assisting, X-ray techniques, and medical terminology is necessary.
Experience with pediatric dentistry practices and understanding of medical documentation or coding enhances your ability to serve diverse patient needs.
