Job Summary
Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral healthcare! Duties
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly using infection control protocols.
Assist dentists during various procedures such as cleanings, restorations, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry with precision and professionalism.
Take and develop dental X-rays, including 3D scans when necessary, ensuring proper positioning and safety measures are followed.
Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) system Open Dental while maintaining HIPAA compliance to protect patient privacy.
Provide chairside assistance by handing instruments, suctioning, and monitoring vital signs to ensure patient comfort throughout treatments.
Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, greeting patients as a dental receptionist, and managing medical documentation accurately.
Follow strict aseptic techniques and infection control standards to uphold the highest levels of safety within the dental clinic environment.
Qualifications
Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting with familiarity in general dentistry procedures.
Proficiency with EMR systems such as Dentrix, Open Dental, or Eaglesoft; experience with Epic or similar platforms is a plus.
Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical coding practices related to dental records.
Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while adhering to radiation safety guidelines.
Strong understanding of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques essential for maintaining a sterile environment.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages, including pediatrics, and coordinate with the dental team.
