Job Summary
Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and become a vital part of delivering exceptional patient care! Your expertise in dental procedures, patient communication, and infection control will help us maintain the highest standards of oral health care. Responsibilities
Assist dentists during a wide range of dental procedures including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic techniques and infection control protocols are strictly followed. Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced medical imaging equipment such as 3D scanners and traditional radiography tools. Manage patient records accurately within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide chairside assistance by managing dental terminology, vital signs, medical documentation, and medical coding to ensure seamless patient care. Support front desk operations by assisting the dental receptionist with appointment scheduling and patient communication when needed. Maintain a clean, organized clinic environment while adhering to infection control standards and OSHA guidelines.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting with knowledge of general dentistry procedures. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic for managing medical records and documentation. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques. Experience with chairside assisting in pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and other specialties is highly desirable. Ability to operate X-ray machines safely and accurately while adhering to radiation safety standards. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and collaborate with the dental team. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality are maintained at all times.
