We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. We are a growing private practice in Happy Valley. We work a four-day week and have an exciting opportunity for the right person to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic, providing exceptional patient care, and assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control practices, and the ability to participate in a team environment.

Duties
Assist the dentist during dental procedures, ensuring a sterile environment through proper aseptic techniques. Take X-rays and photos to assist doctor in proper diagnosis.

Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment for use during patient treatments.

Manage patient records, including dental documentation and vital signs, while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulations.

Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote overall dental health.

Maintain cleanliness and organization within the dental clinic, adhering to infection control protocols.
```Experience```

- Minimum of 1 year experience as a Dental Assistant preferred

- Proficiency in Dentrix or other dental software

- Strong knowledge of dental procedures and terminology

- Ability to perform patient assessments and take accurate medical histories

- Familiarity with aseptic technique and infection control protocols
· Skills:

- Proficient in taking dental x-rays

- Ability to multitask

- Strong patient assessment skills, including taking accurate medical histories and vital signs

- Knowledge of aseptic technique for maintaining a sterile environment during dental procedures
