Responsibilities
Assist dentists with a variety of dental procedures including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, oral surgery, and cosmetic treatments, ensuring smooth workflow and patient comfort. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and maintaining aseptic techniques in accordance with infection prevention management policies. Take high-quality dental x-rays and utilize dental imaging technology such as 3D scanners to aid diagnosis and treatment planning. Manage dental records efficiently using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Open Dental while adhering to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy. Support dental reception duties by scheduling appointments, updating medical documentation, and verifying patient information. Assist with vital signs measurement and medical documentation to ensure comprehensive patient assessments. Maintain clinical confidentiality policies at all times while supporting the team with dental instrument processing and sterilization procedures.

Requirements
Proven experience as a Dental Assistant (minimum two years) with knowledge of general dentistry practices. Strong understanding of dental terminology and anatomy relevant to oral health. Proficiency in using EMR systems such as Open Dental. Familiarity with infection prevention management, aseptic techniques, dental sterilization procedures, and healthcare infection control expertise is essential. Ability to perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques across various specialties including endodontics, prosthodontics, oral surgery, and cosmetic. Knowledge of dental x-ray procedures, dental coding for billing purposes, and medical/dental records management is required. Excellent communication skills combined with a positive attitude will help foster a welcoming environment for patients of all ages. Certification in X-ray safety or radiography is required.

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
