Job Description
**Overview:**
We are seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. Hours are Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:30-4:30 PM. The ideal candidate will assist the dental team in providing quality oral healthcare services to patients. This is a great opportunity for someone with a passion for dentistry and patient care.
**Duties:**
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
- Assist dentists during procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating their needs
- Take and develop dental x-rays using medical imaging equipment
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices
- Maintain accurate patient records using proper medical documentation
- Perform dental receptionist duties as needed
- Provide support in pediatric dentistry procedures
**Requirements:**
- X-ray license and coronal polish license required
- Knowledge of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques
- Familiarity with dental terminology, anatomy, and vital signs
- Proficiency in Eaglesoft software is a plus
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
