Dental Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will support our dental team in providing high-quality patient care while ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within the office. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with both patients and staff. Looking for a candidate to fill every other Friday and Saturday 9-2. Additional hours potentially available.

Duties
Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials.

Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.

Maintain accurate patient records using Abeldent.

Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care.

Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow to optimize office efficiency.

Sterilize instruments and maintain cleanliness in the treatment area.

Support pediatric procedures as required.

Handle administrative tasks, including billing and insurance verification, when necessary.

Requirements
Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within a dental practice.

Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dentistry.

Proficiency in using dental software applications such as Abeldent and Trios is preferred.

Experience in pediatrics is a plus.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages.

Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism at all times.

Certification in dental assisting or relevant qualifications is mandatory.
