Job Description

Job Summary
Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant, where your enthusiasm and expertise will help create a positive and efficient environment for patient care. In this vital role, you will support dentists by preparing treatment areas, assisting during procedures, and ensuring the highest standards of infection control and patient safety. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will contribute to delivering exceptional dental services in a fast-paced, friendly setting. Responsibilities
Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and supplies prior to patient appointments
Assist dentists during various procedures including restorations, extractions, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments
Take and develop dental X-rays using digital imaging systems such as X-ray machines and 3D scanners
Maintain accurate medical records, dental documentation, and medical coding in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft
Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols using aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures
Provide chairside assistance with four-handed dentistry techniques to improve workflow efficiency
Monitor vital signs and assist with patient comfort, especially for pediatric patients or those requiring special care
Qualifications
Proven experience working as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures
For the right person our office is willing to train you in all aspects of the dental office with hands on training
Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques is preferred but not required
Ability to operate dental imaging equipment such as X-ray machines and 3D scanners efficiently and safely is a plus
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with dentists, hygienists, patients, and team members
