Duties
Prepare treatment rooms with sterilized instruments, materials, and supplies, adhering to strict infection control and aseptic techniques.

Assist dentists during various procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry by providing chairside support.

Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray imaging) while maintaining patient safety protocols and ensuring accurate medical documentation.

Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring HIPAA compliance for confidentiality.

Collect vital signs and medical history information from patients to assist with comprehensive dental assessments.

Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, answering phones as a dental receptionist, and managing medical coding for billing purposes.

Operate advanced dental technology including 3D scanners and medical imaging equipment to aid diagnosis and treatment planning.

Qualifications
Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy.

Proficiency with EMR systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic; familiarity with medical records management is highly desirable.

Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures.

Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while adhering to radiation safety standards.

Excellent communication skills for effectively collaborating with team members and educating patients about procedures.

Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles is preferred; experience working with children is a plus.

Certification in dental assisting or relevant training in chairside assisting; knowledge of medical terminology and medical documentation is advantageous.
