Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the dental team in providing exceptional patient care, ensuring smooth clinic operations, and maintaining a comfortable environment for patients of all ages. Duties
Assist dentists during various procedures, including exams and restorative treatments
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available
Take and develop dental radiographs
Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and IPAC
Record existing conditions, treatment plans and treatment done
Skills
Proficiency with dental software such as Tracker and Dentrix is an asset
Knowledge of dental terminology relevant to dental procedures and patient care
Strong understanding of dental assisting techniques and infection control standards
Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages and backgrounds
Familiarity with dental equipment operation and sterilization procedures
Previous experience as a dental receptionist is a plus but not required
Certification in dental assisting or related training is highly desirable
HARP certification is a must
