Job Summary
Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and become a vital part of delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced, friendly environment! In this role, you will support dentists during clinical procedures, manage patient flow, and ensure the highest standards of infection control and clinical confidentiality. Duties
Assist dentists chairside during various dental procedures, including restorations, extractions, root canals, and prosthodontics.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all dental equipment is functioning properly according to infection prevention management protocols.
Take high-quality dental x-rays and operate medical imaging equipment such as 3D scanners while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
Manage patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems like Eaglesoft and Dentrix, ensuring accurate documentation of medical history, vital signs, and treatment details.
Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and assisting with patient management software to schedule appointments and follow-up visits.
Maintain clinical cleanliness by processing dental instruments according to sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques.
Support the dental team with administrative tasks such as greeting patients as a dental receptionist and managing medical documentation in compliance with clinical confidentiality policies.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within a dental clinic environment.
Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; familiarity with patient management software is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, dental equipment, and infection control protocols.
Ability to operate dental x-ray machines safely and accurately; certification in dental radiography is preferred.
Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices and experience working with pediatric patients is a plus.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain procedures clearly and provide compassionate patient care.
Demonstrated understanding of healthcare infection prevention and control standards, including aseptic technique and sterilization procedures.
