Job Description
We believe a good dental assistant is a reliable team player who shows up consistently, supports the dental team, and communicates with professionalism. They work collaboratively to keep the practice running smoothly and are committed to providing quality care by treating every patient with attention, accuracy, and compassion.
Dental Assistant Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Patient Preparation — Prepare and seat patients, review medical history, and maintain comfort throughout treatment.
Chairside Support — Assist the dentist during procedures by passing instruments, suctioning, and anticipating clinical needs.
Sterilization & Infection Control — Clean, disinfect, and sterilize instruments; maintain OSHA/CDC‑compliant operatory standards.
Operatory Setup — Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all materials and equipment are organized and ready.
Digital Imaging — Capture and process dental X‑rays with proper positioning and radiation safety.
Model Fabrication — Pour up impressions, trim models, and prepare lab materials as needed.
Crown Fabrication — Fabricate high‑quality temporary crowns and ensure proper fit and occlusion.
iTero Scanning — Skilled in performing digital intraoral scans for crowns, bridges, Invisalign, and other restorative workflows.
Record Management — Maintain accurate charting, treatment notes, and HIPAA‑compliant documentation.
Patient Education — Provide post‑op instructions and reinforce oral hygiene guidance.
Supply & Inventory — Monitor stock levels, restock materials, and communicate supply needs.
Front Office Assistance — Support scheduling, check‑in/out, and patient communication when needed.
Team Collaboration — Work closely with dentists, hygienists, and administrative staff to ensure efficient patient care.
Dental Assistant Education & Experience:
Formal Education — Completion of an accredited dental assisting program or equivalent structured training.
Certifications — CPR certification; state‑required dental assisting credentials or DANB certification when applicable.
Clinical Experience — Hands‑on chairside assisting in restorative, preventive, or surgical procedures of at least 1 year
Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
