Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our growing dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment, ensuring adherence to infection control protocols.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required.
Manage patient records and medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Conduct preliminary assessments, including taking vital signs and medical history.
Provide chairside assistance during various dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and implant procedures.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the dental clinic.
Skills
Experience with Dentrix software preferred.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
Strong understanding of dental terminology and anatomy knowledge.
Ability to perform chairside assisting effectively while maintaining aseptic technique.
Knowledge of infection control practices within a dental setting.
