Key Details:
Pay: $23 – 27/hour, Depending on experience
Benefits: Employer subsidized medical, dental, and vision insurance; PTO; and (after 1 year of employment) 401k with matching and holiday pay
Location: 2617 California Ave SW Seattle, WA 98116
Schedule: This is a Full Time, Monday-Thursday role with shifts starting between 6:30am – 8:30am, and ending between 2pm – 5pm, depending on the day

Who You Are:

1+ years’ experience in a Dental Assisting role OR successful completion of a dental assisting program with externship
Experience working with children, preferred
Excellent communication skills to work effectively with patients, parents, and clinic staff
Healthcare BLS and WISHA trainings, preferred
Current, Washington State Dental Assisting Registration
Ability to pass a pre-employment professional references check
What You’ll Do:
As a Pediatric Dental Assistant you will work chairside with the doctor to promote good dental and general health through education and patient interaction.

Prepare patient for dental hygiene by welcoming, soothing, seating and draping patient.

Answer questions and provide parents, or guardians with information about patients’ oral health, treatment, and hygiene
Communicate and work alongside dental staff to provide the patient with high level of care
Completing and reviewing patient’s chart notes
Examine patients’ mouth for oral health, OHI, and provide any combination of the following treatments as instructed and approved by the dentist:
Perform visual exams
Perform Prophies
Perform 4-6 handed dentistry
Assist all dental preventative and restorative procedures
Take x-rays and intraoral photos
Apply sealants
Arrest dental decay by applying fluorides and other cavity-preventing agents
Mix filling compounds
Take impressions of teeth
