Job Description
Job Title: Registered Dental Assistant (RDA)
Reports to: Lead Dental Assistants
Nuve Dental Mission is to create wellbeing and progress for our patients and employees. For us, the first order of business is to build a group of people who, under the influence of the organization, grow taller and become healthier, stronger, more autonomous.A dental assistant role is supporting dentists and ensuring smooth operations in a Nuve Dental. Their responsibilities typically include both clinical and administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities: Patient Care & Assistance
Prepare patients for dental procedures.
Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments.
Provide patients with post-treatment care instructions.
Ensure patient comfort before, during, and after procedures.
Clinical Duties
Sterilize dental instruments and equipment.
Set up and organize treatment rooms.
Take dental X-rays, FMX, Panoramic ,CBCT etc..
Mix dental materials such as fillings, impression materials, and cements.
Hand instruments and materials to the dentist as needed.
Administrative Duties
Maintain patient records and update medical histories.
Assist on managing and inventory of dental supplies.
Infection Control & Safety
Follow strict infection control and sterilization protocols.
Ensure compliance with OSHA and HIPAA regulations.
Problem-Solving
Address issues or challenges that arise in operations and escalate when necessary.
Foster a positive work environment that align with company core values.
Proactively identify areas for improvement in processes or workflows.
Strategic Planning
Contribute to the development and execution of strategic plans and initiatives.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and help drive improvements.
Certifications: Certifications such as CPR, radiology certification, or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) credentials are necessary.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Certification in Dental Assisting (RDA)
Proficiency with Dentrix Ascend
CPR certification
At least 2 years of Dental Assisting experience
